If you have been through our site (www.cncci.com), you know we have a
variety of products and services to help you learn more about CNC. And there
are a number of free services on our website (listed under "Resources"), including two technical newsletters, a schools page, a jobs page, a
CNC tips page, links to other
CNC-related sites, and much more.
We also provide free technical support to
CNC users having problems utilizing their CNC machine tools. Many of the
answers weve provided end up on our CNC Tips page, under Q &
A.
While these free services have been quite helpful, and weve received
very favorable comments over the years, we wanted to provide a more interactive
and faster way to exchange information. The
CNC
Tech Talk Forum should do the trick.
You can post a message on any topic of interest to CNC users. Ill be
moderating this forum so when possible, Ill do my best to answer
questions, respond to comments, and in general, keep the discussions on track.
Im hoping that others in the forum will also pitch in and help provide
answers to questions and/or comment on the answers I've given.
Suggestions for posting:

code is used? Post a question to the group!
Questions about parametric programming. Are you having
trouble getting your custom macro program to work? Post it and let us try to
determine what's wrong!
Questions about setup and operations. Wondering if there's a
better or faster way to get jobs running. Post your current method and let us
critique your methods.
Questions about CAM systems. Are you wondering which CAM
system will best suit your needs. Post your application and let forum members
provide you with suggestions.

accessories. Are you thinking about buying an accessory for your CNC

Post your question and see what members of the forum think about your
alternatives.

Comments about current issues facing CNC users. Would you
like to make a statement about the current state of manufacturing (wages, work
load, working conditions, etc.)? Post your comment and see what others think.
Questions or comments on just about any CNC-related topic.
Truly, the skys the limit. If its related to CNC, its fair
game for this forum.
A few rules:
Keep posts on topic. This is rule number one of any forum.
Again, our goal is to allow an exchange of ideas related to CNC. Posts that are
not related to CNC (or at least manufacturing in general) will be deleted
immediately.
Keep it clean. Posts including profanity will be deleted
immediately. Posters using profanity will be banned from the forum.
Dont throw darts. Posts containing bickering among
posters will be deleted immediately. Posters who continually bicker will be
banned from the forum.
You don't have to register, but... While we dont require you
to register in order to post, you must submit your name and email address to
post. Posts containing incorrect or incomplete poster information will be
deleted immediately.
Some spamming allowed. If you know about a website, product, or
service that you think CNC people will be interested in, by all means post it.
If its a website, be sure to include its url.
Enjoy!
Again, this is a free service, so take advantage of it! Like our free
schools page and jobs page, we will continue to maintain this forum as long as
it remains feasible for us to do so.
Other forums related to CNC
Admittedly, we're the new guys on the block. There are several established
CNC forums in which you may already participate. But at the very least, our CNC
Tech Talk Forum will provide you with yet another avenue to get your questions
answered and your comments made. Additionally, we'll not allow the bickering
and inappropriate postings you commonly see in other forums (they'll be deleted
as soon as we see them). And you won't have to deal with any annoying pop-ups
or banners in this forum.
It is the intention of this service to simply post messages and responses we
receive. We will occasionally purge this forum of inappropriate postings, but
under no circumstances do we endorse comments made by people posting in this
forum -- and we do not warrant in any way the accuracy of information included
in this service.
